Year you learned to fly: First flight was in 1987 at Nags Head on the Dune. I got married soon after and was not able to continue with my training. After my divorce I was contacted by one of my buddies who got me back into the best sport in the world. That was like in 1996.
First year attended Spectacular: 1997. But did not fly in the event until the following year.
Number of Spectaculars attended as of 2002: Every year since 1997. I will miss my first one in 2003. I am returning to Bosnia for a summer rotation which starts in April, 2003. I will be thinking of you all I am sure.
Favorite glider for Dune Competition: Any glider Kenny Brown from Moyes America lets me fly! He has been more than nice allowing me to fly his gilders time and time again.
Favorite glider for Aerotow Competition: I guess it's my 2001 Sportster.
Comments: My son Tucker and dog Foster have also made every Spectacular I have. Tucker looks forward to this event and seeing all his friends Ray Pugh, Bruce Weaver, Kenny Brown, Doug Haber, Andy Torrington, Steve Bernier.
